IM 25g lagoon tank

So my mp10 is down for the count. Red/green stall error. Dry side or power supply is my guess. I’ll worry about that later. I just so happen to have a new mp10 on the way I ordered last week. I expect it Thursday. So in the meantime...

1. Leave it and just use the return pump for 2 days.

2. Hook up a spare mp40 @ 10% for 2 days. (Worried this might be a bit much).

3. Stand here for 2 days and make waves with my hand.

As much fun as option 3 sounds, I'd go for option 2. Maybe play with the different modes and see which one gives you the best flow for your tank while you wait for the new pump.

Option two is best. On the MP10, try pressing all three buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds and see if it resets.

Just order a few jebaos. You'll have a backup.

That’s what the new mp10 was for! Now I’ll need another back up for the back up
Just go for the economy models. They all wear out. The OW series is darn good too.

I had an issue last summer that I thought was a dead MP10 controller. Turned out to be a bad power supply ...
Have you tried a different one ??

It’s either a power supply or the dry side. When my new mp10 gets here I’ll be able to determine which.

Run the MP40 at a lower setting for now !!

Do you have a multimeter?
Ecotech wires are center positive
I had a power supply fail and only gave me 5-6volts DC
Any reading below 12-14VDC will tell you it's the power supply

And you need not purchase one from EcoTech.
I bought one from a local electronics store.
All you need is center positive, 24VDC and 1.5Amps

Oh, and it needs to be 2.5mm

Take your unit in for matching sizes

I've had so many power supply failures on my vortechs in the last year I ended up just buying a spare. definitely try the new power supply on the old pump.
Sorry to hear that

I bought a couple Ebay power supply units and 1 failed after a few months, but the other is going strong on my QT with spare MP10 parts

Not sure how accurate the apex is but it reads watts/volts. I can check it against that.
