Here recently I will occasionally notice my MP10 making noise (cavitation maybe). Twice, the wet and dry side worked loose from each other resulting in the wet side on the bottom and the dry side hanging by the cord. Each time it makes noise, I take it apart and clean it. A few weeks/months later, it will do it again. I have an MP40 that has never caused an issue.

Has anyone ever had this issue? Is it typically a problem with the wet side or dry side?
Help please!

Look at ceramin pin in center and also magnet which has been a field issue that ecotech will not own up to

Could it be the wet and dryside misaligning from each other over time? Whenever I notice mine starting to make noise, I rotate the wetside a bit until that small noise goes away. It feels like there's a sweet spot and the two sides "click" into place. You can feel the magnets fighting each other when it's not right. Also, what thickness of glass is on your tank, I had to use the spacer as my glass is less than 6mm thick.

Perhaps you are approaching the max wall thickness hit the MP10 .... but not for the MP40. Wet sides become more temperamental as they age.
