Just bought my first vortech quiet drive. The exterior part of the pump keeps falling off the glass.

Do i just use double stick tape to fix it on?
Im kind of bummed this is what I get for a 300 dollar pump

I’ve always used what it came with, if I ever moved it it would always fall off. Just put the wet side in and should not have a problem.

Let me guess, you didn't research the thickness of glass required for the MP-10. It's not the pumps fault.

How thick is your glass? Think it's 9.5mm for the mp10 max thickness.

Dude out here like

Thats totally fine man. Passive aggressiveness has absolutely 0 purpose on here. Enjoy your evening
(S)he's definetly being a jerk, but the mp10 is designed for small tanks.
The MP40 is a better fit for your tank - hopefully you can exchange your MP10

Actually it is.
A pump falling off the side of the tank is a terrible mechanical design. Petcos 15 dollar pumps are better

While I agree that they probably aren't being the nicest, the MP10 is not designed for your size of tank atall. It falling off doesn't make it terribly designed, It's designed perfectly, for a much smaller tank than yours.

If you had told your LFS what tank you had and they sold you that size MP than that's terrible customer service. If you purchased it without doing any research whatsoever into the pump then well...

+1
MP series powerheads are some of the best.
Its not the pump or manufacturer’s fault.
In the end you’re upset at a magnet.
