Hey guys,

So I just bought a used Vortech mp10 es, and it seemed to work at first till I messed with it. It runs at a constant speed, and the dial changes the speed, but the LED speed dial doesn't light up.
The big issue is that I can't change modes, when I press the mode button it does nothing. I know the button works because I can successfully reset it. I just get no reaction when I press it on its own.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank y’all so much!

Here's a picture of what the controller looks like

Eco-tech has a good service rep, give them a call. you might want to look at upgrading to a QD controller.

Bringing back this subject. I did 10+ hard and soft resets, but my MP10w only works in Constant Mode. The speed can be controlled, but I can not select modes or link it to reeflink or wxm. Are there any other resetting options out there? When I plug it in it blinks red once and goes to green. I wonder somehow the memory is erased. I may just need to use it as a normal powerhead. My MP40w is OK and works with WXM and reeflink.

Make sure you are using the correct 24v power supply (for an MP10 might be larger on 40 & 60). I had this issue and I was only using a 12v power supply on my MP10. Switched to the 24v and it worked perfectly.

Thanks.. I checked, it is the original 24V adaptor.

Found the problem. EcoMarine support’s advice was just resetting it which I did at least 10 thousand times. I noticed when it is booting it does not blink to show its version. I used reeflink’s firmware update process. And ta daa. MP10 updated its firmware and start responding to mode commands. WXM attachment process started to work and all is well now…
