Yeah, the impeller is the obvious go to in cases of cleaning. But what im talking about is what shrouds the magnetic impeller. The copper motor within the unit. In cases where cleaning isn't the problem, it where things get wet from improper water proofing.

Ohhh I have not had an issue with the motor. I thought it was the motor initially. Just making sure this was checked first! GL

All I know is I'm liking these pumps so far. When I set up the tank I put the mp10 in but couldn't turn it past 40% as it would vibrate off the glass as it 1/2 thick plus I was not really all that impressed with it from the get go. That's me though so.
