For a tank of that size, I'd go with the nero 3, placed on the back wall. I have the Reefwave 25, on my 50 gal & only run at 10%. Considering to stop using completely, since adding Random flow nozzles. So far no love for the Reefwave 25
Mp10. Pricey but worth it. Just bought a used one on r2r, it can be a bit noisy if not cleaned but other than that it’s awesome.I have a nano reef tank with the dimensions of 18x18x18 and was wondering which would be better the mp10 or reefwave 25.
I can second this, before my mp10 I used a hygger wave maker. Worked great but they do go bad after a bit, the motor slows down even after cleaning. Ran it for about 9 monthsI’ve been using the hygger wave makers from amazon. Cheap and just as good as mp10s which I have owned before.
My tank is an all in one so I can not place anything on the back wallFor a tank of that size, I'd go with the nero 3, placed on the back wall. I have the Reefwave 25, on my 50 gal & only run at 10%. Considering to stop using completely, since adding Random flow nozzles.
I have mine on the side under the return flow, no problems with flow at all.My tank is an all in one so I can not place anything on the back wall
I’m with ya. I’m done with Red Sea accessories, only because the app sucks. In fact I’m done with any app based controllability, period.I would avoid the Reefwave. I have three of them...two of the controller boards crapped out in under a year..plus they move a lot of water but very harshly whereas an MP10 has better control. Dont get me started about the PITA it is to connect to the app.
I 2nd this, two Nero 3 for $10 more than an mp10qd gives you a lot more flexibility to control flow in your tankI know it isn't on your list but why not Nero 3 or 5? I have the 3 in a similar sized tank, it's running at 60% power.
