Traditionally, I put powerheads on either side of my tank for flow. But with my next tank build, I'd love to have them symmetrical on the back of the tank. This might be an obvious question, but how is that going to go for coral placement? Will I run into any unforeseen issues?
 
Depends on the tank.

MP10's have extremely wide dispersion. More so than any water mover I've seen. This good for small tanks where you don't want directional flow, but for bigger tanks MP10s lose steam very fast because they blow water in a very large cone.

Depends! What kind of coral are we talking about?
 
I think placement towards the top of the tank then, but not directly in front of each other of course. How wide is the tank?
 
I have two MP10s on the back wall of my 50 cube (24") Works great. No issues.
