MP10 rubber spacer

just picked up an Mp10 from my LHS yesterday . It’s installed and running on my Fusion nuvo 20. My tank is 6mm thick. Do I need the spacer? With the spacer in it’s attached and I can still move easy. Do I need the spacer? Instructions says it’s ok not to use for 6mm and up.

Also what mode is best for lps and softies? I currently have it in TSM mode

I've been running an MP10 on half inch glass for a number of years.....no extra rubber. I recently set up two holding tanks with MP10's...glass is thin....maybe 5 or 6 mm, and the MP's were noisy. I first put the rubber cushion on the dryside, but switched to the wetside, and it's now very quiet. I'd suggest using the rubber.

Thanks! Currently have the rubber on the dry side and it’s pretty quiet . Will keep it as is and monitor .

I have 2 mp10’s on my nano tank with 5mm glass and the one with a spacer works great and the one that doesn’t have a spacer (I got it used without a spacer) works fine when it is running but the dry side falls off if I stop the pump. I ordered another spacer to hopefully remedy this issue as I like to turn off my pumps during feeding.

Just an update, I received the spacer in the mail today and put it between the tank and the dry side and so far the dry side isn’t falling off any more
