MP10 rust?

Just looking at the impeller while cleaning. Seems like rust? I know rust is something you don’t want in the tank for obvious reasons. Is this normal or is this something I need to bring up and maybe reach out to Ecotech?

Seems quite common. Mine have done the same. More discoloration that’s rust though. I don’t worry about it.

Yes email ecotech. They should be able to give you an answer. I would assume the shaft is swelling if its rusting and the ceramic shaft sleeve wont like that for too much longer....
Mine were rusted and it cracked the ceramic shaft off. I sent my wetsides back and they sent me new ones free of charge.
