Just wanted to get opinions on what I should get for additional flow. I have a 40 Breeder mixed reef tank. I am leaning towards a dialed down MP40 for the option of future tank upgrades, but it is also the most expensive of the options, so let me know what your opinions are. Thanks.

Mp40 is your best bet. Mp10 does not work on thicker glass if you want to upgrade.

There are some new option too.

Sicce voyager pumps are quite and work good on wave makers.
Hydor Koralia Evolution are also quite, smaller and work good on wavemakers and use very little energy.
These two take up a little more room in the reef but they are way cheaper and allow for a little more options.

I also think the MP40 would be a good investment. Yoj could always get a used one for about $300.

The koralia evos would be a great cheaper option, but you would have to buy 3 or 4 on a wavemaker to try to get some random flow.
