I recently cleaned my MP10 and found that there is a bit of the metal shaft showing at the base where it connects to the plastic. Seems like the white ceramic chipped off and is gone. This was of course, a day before leaving on a two week vacation so I just left it in there for the time being. I'm back now and wondering if I should replace the wetside of the MP10. May be considering an alternative wavemaker but I love the low-profile design of the MP10 and no wires in tank.

Thanks

Hi,

A pic may help. A wet side isn’t too much for a mp10. You should also be able to replace the bearings .
or maybe a change is in the card. But parts are available to fix the mp if needed. Brs should even be able to get you the right parts if you call them

I just went ahead and bought the replacement wetside since it is not that expensive. I lost a few corals on the side of my tank where the MP10 is & I'm hoping it is related since I'm not sure why else they would've died.

Hey Jordan,

good call on the mp .

To be on the safe side . If you have not, I would test your alk and ph and the rest just to be sure that isn’t the issue with your corals.
