I'm planning to do a frag tank with sps, lps, and soft coral and I was wondering what flow rate settings (reef, constant, tidal, etc...) you guys recommend with the mp10? I have it on a 20 gallon long tank.

Not sure it'll matter...either it won't reach to the far side or it will. I'd suggest switching to a Tunze 6040 ($140) if you have any problems setting up good flow with the pump you have.

How's the tunze as far as noise level?

I think a single MP-10 will be just fine on a 20 G long. I'd recommend using reef random and experiment with the flow. I think you'll find you have to dial it back.

The Tunze's are practically silent since the motor is under water. Great pumps. :)

Definitely experiment with what you have though. :) In a cube shape tank, the mp10 is "strong" in an area about 12"x12"x12" in front of the pump with lighter flow beyond 12". Your tank is narrow, so the character of the flow will be a little different. If you don't have a sand bed you'll have more latitude for dealing with the mp10 too. So see what you think! :)
