I just purchased a used mp10wqd and within 3min, the module turn off.
It appears the unit has some faint lighting as to the mode it's in. Wetside seems to be in the mode I've set so it seems to respond.

Is this a new feature or something of concern? My 2015 wqd doesn' do this.

There is a setting in the MP10 that you can make it so the leds dim so they don't illuminate the room at night. It's called "Night Mode Feature" to turn them back up, press and hold all three buttons until the knob flashes orange and white and the first two leds will be illuminated. Push the mode button until the last two leds are illuminated press the set button. The knob should flash orange and turquoise (light blue) then you'll see two brightly lit leds, and two dimly lit leds. If you want the controller to be fully lit all the time, line them up by turning the knob so that only two leds are lit. and then hit set. the controller should reset itself and the lights should remain illuminated. Hope that helps :)
