Hello, I have started up a tank and was just using some left over random powerheads I had from my other builds, but I want to get this tank into something more stable and secure for when I put in some expensive corals and such in the tank. I have a jbj 45 aio tank, and I was wondering if I should go for the ecotech mp10wqd or an icecap gyre 1k?

I don't have any experience with the ecotech but I do have the ice cap 3k in my tank and so far I love how it works. I also like how it comes with protective covers to keep critters from getting chopped up

I believe the 3k would be too much for my jbj, correct me if I am wrong?

I have mine in a 55 gallon tank right now but I went with the 3k because I plan on eventually upgrading my tank, I'm only running it at 40% so the 1k would probably be plenty for you

I have both in my 40breeder. If I did it over. I would go 2 icecap 1k. It’s so much better than the mp10
