Mp10wqd or Nero 5

I need a new power head for my IM 40aio. Currently running a jebao sw2 which doesn’t really do anything for this tank. I was thinking about possibly just getting another one and running both together. But kind of want to get a totally different power head. Thinking between mp10wqd or a Nero 5.

I think the Nero 5 is the new hotness at the moment. The benefit of the MP10 is that you don't have any wires actually in the tank whereas the Nero has a really small wire.

I don’t mind the wires but just want something that’s going to be right for my tank because I got the gyre 3k and it was overkill for my tank. Had to get rid of it

I have 2 on a reefer 250 and I love them, I can dial the flow to perfection with the app. I have them dialed way down though cause they move a wall of water. Seriously I accidentally turned one on to 100% and it blew water right out of my tank!! I was able to make a sweet flow pattern that has a gyre effect but still very random flow. Like AI has done with the lights the app is very easy to use and dial the exact flow you want it even shows the GPH it is currently working at. Might not use that much but cool none the less

I used to have the same tank as you and even the Icecap 1k was too much haha. I switched to the Nero 5 about a month ago and I think I finally have it figured out. The only thing I don't like is that I can't turn it down further.

Screw it just pulled the trigger on the Nero 5. Already have an AI Prime Hd so I guess it should be a + for me to have AI products working on the samething

Oh yeah, if you're using AI Products then it's a great call. It made me immediately miss my AI Primes when I opened the app to set up my Nero 5.

Now only thing else I need for now and done for a while is a 24inch aquatic life t5 hybrid so I can run my AI Prime with it
