Just bought this MP10WQD off the trading forum... Curious though if I got an older mp10WES with just an upgraded driver. The dry side is all tacky and looks like the finish is worn off. It seems to be a little louder then I was expecting as well.

How can I tell if the wet side is a newer wet side?

I'll be calling Echotech on Monday to confirm. I'm just surprised for a supposedly new pump just manufactured in March of this year that the dry side would be doing this already.

Nothing changed on the 10's from ES to QD except the driver; you can't tell unfortunately.

Wetside isnt different.... qd controller is... and has new dates on it... so could be old motor and new looking controller

Thanks... Just putting out $250 for a used pump has me paranoid I guess.., just trying to save $$ on the taxes... Everything works... I did a hard reset and have the wet side soaking in vinegar currently to just clean up the remaining bits that were missed...

If I paid almost full retail for a used mp10 that had the $50 driver upgrade id be upset. I would most def be contacting the seller about that.

Did it come in the original box?

On the back of the dryside what logo sticker does it have? I believe the new qd should look like this

Someone correct me if im wrong on that.
