MP40 Bearing Sounds

My MP40 dayside is making a horrible noise. I believe it is the bearing that is going. Is it dangerous to run it like that? I have a new dryside on order but it might not be here for several days. Just curious if I can run it like that or if it could either damage the glass or create power draw issues.

It can freeze up and possibly overheat when the bearing goes. If its not too bad you can run it.
