mp40 in fluval evo 13.5?

You will never need a 40 in a nano tank. MP10 is fine maybe at 25% intensity.

i took my fluval down but setting back up again last time i had mp10 at 100% on reefcrest and it didn't feel like i have enough flow at other end of the tank but i will trust you it's probs just me not over thinking stuff

To get a reef crest going, it's easier to achieve with 2 if you are looking for a wave. But Mp40 in a 13.5g is like using 500lb bomb to kill a mouse in a house.

It's ok, I used to think I needed monster flow too, envisioned that crashing ocean on the reef and my corals suffered and died early on. Then I learned how to balance and vary the flow in the box. Turned my MP40s down to 26% during the day and 20 overnight. Mounted 3 inches below the surface. SPS dominant mixed reef loves the reduced flow at that level.
