So I just put it in (2) Mp40 gen 2 into my 180 and I would like to know which setting is best and the adjustment of flow. I have them both on the yellow mode which I believe is the reef crest or something with a flow adjustment of about medium. I have a lot of acans and some sps. Do you think I should change the setting? How much flow can Acans handle. Because I know SPS loves a lot of flow. I would love input or opinions. Thanks

I have a 120G (4x2x2) SPS dominated tank with two MP-40w's on Reefcrest (yellow) ... They are both on at 90% ... there are acans and other LPS on the sandbed ... they don't mind the high flow at all. :)

I have the exact same setup but found reefcrest a bit to mellow for my liking. Currently have mine on short pulse (blue) with slave on anti-sync (orange).

If you like reefcrest but want something that is more consistant then put it on lagoon..

I have a 200 gallon, 48x36x27. and am running 2 x MP40's on Purple (Lagoonal Random mode, at 100%, and the slave pump is set to anti-synch. I have the pumps situated on either end, basically aimed at each other.

I have 2xMP40 on my 120. Mine are NOT synced. One is in Reef Crest and the other is in Lagoon. Both are 100%. I have a mostly SPS with some LPS on the rockwork. Acans, rics, and plates on the sandbed and everybody seems to be happy. The acans near the undertow that one of the props creates and they appear to really like the current right there. Food gets sucked right to them instead of being blown across them.

I'm giving this a try over the next week to see how I like it. Mine are faced opposingly on either end as well.
