Hello! Has anyone had trouble with their ecotech mp40 nozzle/guard plastic piece fitting too loosely and becoming propelled into the tank? This keeps happening to me and I can’t find a way to get it to fit more securely. Thanks!

There’s an oring around the wet side (not the grill) that can be replaced or pried out slightly which can help improve the grip.

Mine does that after a few weeks after cleaning... weirdly, it’s only the MP40 on the right side of the tank. The one on the left stays put. When you clean the wetside, make sure you go over the o-ring that sits on the perimeter of the wetside, where it makes contact with the wetside cage, with a soft tooth brush to remove the slick biofilm that builds. I now have a few wetside cages (from rusted out wetsides) that I rotate when this happens.

My guess is the o ring is missing.

You were all correct in pointing out the o-ring. I contacted ecotech to purchase a replacement, which arrived today. I removed the old o-ring (which as far as I can tell looks to be in the exact same condition as the new one) and so far the nozzle/guard has been staying affixed to the wet side body.
