what would be better 2 mp40s or an mp60. have mainly lps corals a few sps corals. want good flow but not so much it will upset my lps. im thinking 2 mp40s on a 180g would be best but would like some feed back from you all.

thanks

For a 180g, use 2 MP40s or 2 MP60s if you've got some cash to burn. I run a single MP60 on my 48x30x24. I have a tunze 6100 on the back to add some randomness to the flow, though. I run the MP60 a half power, they put out some insane flow.

I guess the point is, assuming you have a 6' tank, is that you need two streams of flow colliding.

yea its a 6ft tank. now should i run the pumps on the same side or have them oppisite of each othere. and one low one high or or abotu the middle. i want to get a good even all around flow to help with exporting any digatitus that gets stured up

I'd run them in opposite sides about 5 inches below the water surface. On the middle of each pain of glass.

I'd run them in opposite sides about 5 inches below the water surface. On the middle of each pain of glass.
