Hey everyone. I have a 90G mixed reef and currently have 2 MP40s on the back glass of my tank. They are on an antisync seeing with each other.I have somewhat of a dead zone(low flow) area behind my aquascape. My question is should I keep the MP40s where they are and add a small power head down low behind rocks. Or, should I move my MP40s to the ends of the tank?

With powerheads, adding is not bad. The area you are talking about probably gets flow from water swirling around. But if it makes you feel better, get a powerhead that you can fit in to deal with the space. And whether you get a simple little one or a fancy programmable one is up to you.

I'm a fan of more powerheads, at lower settings.
I have 6 MP40 on my 200 gallon tank.
I have 3 on one side of the tank and 3 on the other side, same height, equal spacing.
My thinking was to let the water movement that they create meet in the middle of the tank and cause a whirl pool effect. Everything in my tank is happy so far, been up and running for 2 years now

I would aim my returns at the back wall to pick up this dead zone and place the MP 40 on either end not directly across from one another
