I thought this answer was probably asked and answered but my searching skills we lacking and I came up empty, so I figured I would ask here. If anyone has a link to a prior similar discussion please let me know.

That said, I am curious how to best set up my two mp40s in a 4 foot tank. I currently have them staggered on the sides (left slightly higher and further back) and am curious what modes/schedules people typically suggest for such a setup. My tank is still brand new and cycling, but plan is for a predominately LPS reef with little bit of sticks near the powerheads.

Let me know if any other information would be relevant, I am happy to provide more info.

Thanks!

Yes sir. Set up to Mobius app and more so looking for guidance as to which mode (lagoon, reef crest, etc.) and how to set them up to work together. The scheduler function within the Mobius app looked pretty confusing.

I have 2 Mp40s on my 4’ mixed reef aquarium. Acros up high and torches, hammers, and gonis on the sand. Use Reef Crest mode with max at 75%. Acros love the flow, other corals tolerate. Would suggest you start around 30 to 40% and ramp up as needed.

My tank is 3ft and I was running 2 MP40 antisync at 60% reefcrest and I noticed some of my acros stopped growing on the side facing the pump, actively growing away from the flow so I’ve now reduced it to 50% max.

Thanks so much guys, this is the exact feedback I was looking for so I really appreciate you sharing your experiences. Time to hit the manual and figure out how to set it to antisync (guessing it has something to do with setting one as the master switch but let me know if I'm off)!

While I am getting my silly ecotech questions out of the way, do you any of you have experience with radions? I've been advised to keep my lights off during cycling but I couldn't really figure out how to best do that with the g5s other than unplugging or setting it to a 1% intensity for a minimal amount of time.

Thanks again everyone!

I wouldn’t run a light schedule if you’re cycling. Maybe a couple hours for viewing at a really low intensity. There is an acclimation mode in mobius so you can start out with a very low intensity and ramp it over 30 days to reach your end point. I know leaving them off is easier said than done though, lol

Thanks, I agree and am figuring out how to turn them "off"... there didn't seem to be a switch so the only thing I figured out was to unplug them but I figured there had to be a better way...

Thanks. The other thing I thought of was to have the lights on for 1 minute at 1% intensitiy. I wasn't sure if having them unplugged was a bad idea but I guess I will just go that route (unplug the lights).

weird...I think I set the point intensity to zero for all times during the schedule and have the lunar "disabled," but for whatever it seems like the moon feature is still on right now. Is there another setting somewhere maybe?

if you go into your schedule anywhere and click on the moon icon:

Good call, was able to fix it. I had preloaded the LPS option and it had many different settings throughout the day so I had to either change the settings for each time slot to have 0 point intensity under the moon icon like you suggested or just delete most of the time slots...think I got it now though so thanks again, this site is great!
