I have a traditional 90 (48x18) and just picked up another mp40. I have one setup towards the back 1/3 of tank, about 1/3 from the top. I have my other placed on the opposite side towards the front 1/3, also about 1/3 from the top. I have mostly LPS with a few acros, montis. Currently have them both on reef crest at 55%. I was wondering if there was a better way i should be setting these up? All the options are slightly overwhelming so i figured I’d reach out for some experience.

I think you are good. A lot of it also depends on your rock layout and how you plan to place corals in the future. You can always move pumps later.

Here’s a pic from awhile back to give a better idea.

Looks good. I would go with your plan. I had a 90 for years. A couple mp40’s was a good choice For your system and you can mount them in lots of ways and have great success.
