Debating between the 2 wavemakers in the title.

300 gallon DD tank. Sps, some softies.

What’s a better wave maker? Gyre fx250 pushing a max 5300 gph or ecotech mp40

For a 300 gallon tank, you are looking more at 2x mp60s and 2x mp40s you need a lot more flow then one mp40 of gyre xf250

It would be 4x mp 40, similar to how WWC has there 293 gallon tank. Or 4 gyres. 2 on each side.

Nah. I run 3 mp 40s on my 180 and I only have softies and nems. For sps you are going to want the mp60s
