So I come to my tank to find mp40 Westside on sand. Try putting back on and it is like polarized wrong way and won't stick. Keeps pushing away from dry side. I have checked it with another dry side and works fine. Anyone had this problem before? I just updated to a quiet drive last week just the upgrade kit not the dry side

Was it on or off when you were trying to mate it back up after it fell off? I only ask because this happened to me before and I had a doh! moment.

Turn it off completely, then re attach it. Once attached then turn it back on in low mode and get it where it isn't vibrating. Then you should be able to ramp it up...

Happened to me too - once. One of the less-published "unique" features of the Vortech. ;)

Not sure about the apparent polarization...might have to contact support.

Does the wet side that "dropped" seems to spin as freely as a working one? Sometimes the dropping is caused by the wet side beginning to seize up or something getting caught in the propeller. I had one that had developed some rust inside the wet half and another that developed wear on some of the plastic parts....only one caused a drop, but either could have.

I did find that it was seized up and replaced with a spare. Still having issues though. It will stick when no power then when power up the whole Westside starts to spin

Disasemble wet side follow EcoTech Marines instructions pull everything out and take a look at the magnet, if it has a plastic cover make sure it's not split , if it does not have a plastic cover make sure magnet is not corroded.

When the whole wetside spins it because the little nut on the end of the propeller is too tight. Loosen it and you should be good to go. That nUT is very tricky getting it tight enough to work but not too tight.

May add when adjusting that nut be careful because they are plastic.I had a linkia get stuck in my 40 and it stripped that nut out and i was literally one month past yr warranty.
