OK, before I drop the 100$ or so for a replacement mp40 westside, does anyone know if there is a replacement blade for said wetside. I managed to crack it once upon a time back when it was in service a few tanks ago.

Also will the new wetsides will work with my older dry side (circa 2015)? Ecotech's website and research I've done today says yes, but just want to be sure before I drop coin.

They do not sell the impeller alone sadly.

A new wetside will work but before you drop coin, send them an email and request a new wetside under warranty.

You need to pay to send yours back but I've never had them tell me no, even with my 2012 mp-10.

It was only $5 shipping.

I'll give it a shot before I buy a wetside.

I never thought of a warranty on my wetsides. I have a bunch of broken ones.

If they are broken I wouldn't think of warranty. It's great if they would but its not something I would even consider asking for, especially on an 8 year old unit like th OPs.

This, I don't even have proof of purchase anymore as you said they are 8 years old, lol. I haven't used them since 2018 or so. I bought these from a local LFS, which I know doesn't keep back records that far back, let alone a year back!

I sent off a email earlier for craps n giggles, we will see what happens. I'm puckering up to just pay the 100$ and be done with it.

Actually just send it in to get fixed... they will tell you "no the technician can not fix it, BUT we can sell you a new one for X price" Usually for less than half. I actually heard/read the other day about someone sent in a G4 Radion to be fixed and they said they couldn’t so they sold him a G6 for half price. I was like "Does anybody have any busted Radions they don't want!"

I did put out a email to ecotech, we will see how it goes.

Funny part is that I went to the chinesium powerheads (jebao) after being heartbroken about the hermit that decided it didn't like my mp40's. The price iirc wasn't much cheaper 5 years ago for the wet side as it is now, lol. I think I paid 600$ total, cash for these mp40's that have been sitting back in 2015.

Do you think they would warrantee my wet side? A bit of a rust issue.

After a tank crash many years ago i lost interest. After removing all the life forms and shutting down I let the entire tank volume (120 gal) evaporate.
