Mp40 wet side issue!

Hello I have a 2010 MP40 W ....Wet Side kept falling off so I opened it up and this is what I saw the magnet is bulging and one of the screws main shaft screw is broken at the head do I need a new wetside or do I need just the shaft package with the propeller screw Etc?

Unfortunately, they don’t offer replacement parts for the wetsides anymore. You’re on the hook for a whole new wetside now.

My dry side gets a rattling noise with any wet side . Gonna send dry side to ecotec for servicing . Should i also send the power adapter and power cable?

I mean they should have plenty to test!

Yeah sending it without power cable they said ok

Ecotech said since I dipped my dryside by mistake in water for 2 secs ... inside is rusted and beyond repair. Now they said they'd sell D.S. for 150 $....

I don't want that but is it worth asking them return for the D.S. controller( the button and dial device) alone? Or shall I let them keep it?

Can I switch the controller to another dry Side motor?

2010 vintage MP40 controller should work with any of the old style motors; not sure about the newer ones. Getting ten years out of an aquarium related mechanical device is pretty good IME. I think if one is incredibly careful to not splash the dryside then it might last longer than 10 years, but the wetside should be replaced at half that.
