MP40 wetside falls

i just gave my MP40 wetside a vinegar bath
now it shakes itself off.
do need to replace the wetside or can i just purchase the maintenance kit.
the kit does not include the magnet or the oring.wich still seem to be good
or what can be wrong with it?

Check the wet drive shaft, Item#:10178. See if it spins inside the ceramic bearing.

Also while it is mostly together spin it by hand and look at the edge of the maget if it stays level probably can just get the maitenance kit.

I had issues where mine was falling off and they sent me a new wet side, not exactly sure why.

shaft does not spin inside of bearing,bearing spins with shaft
i can rock the impellar almost 1/8".i took apart ,i only see wear shaft meets bearing.
if i spin the prop there is some resistance

If there is resistance then the wet drive shaft is probably worn out, however it can wear out so much that it is welded to the ceramic bearing and you can not get them apart. If that is the case you would have to buy the maitenance kit and the ceramic bearing. So then you are looking at 35 in parts and 10 in shipping and it still might not work if the magnet is messed up.

When the wetside fell off did it have like a banging or t******* sound to it?

its almost as if the prop was out of balance .i have ordered a new assmbly.
to be on rthe safe side .once i get the wetside ill order parts to rebuild

I think that you made the right decision. Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago and I tried replacing everything but the magnet and was unable to fix it. Oh well extra parts for when it happens next time.
