So I recently received an MP40 and when it’s on it has this obnoxious noise. I’ll post a video of it below. I’ve narrowed it down to it being the wetside as the dry side is silent running by itself. When I spen the blades on the wet you can feel it grind on the inside. Bearings? If so how do you fix this.

Just trying to avoid buying a new wetside at the moment.

Video doesn't show for me, sorry.

The wet sides do not have bearings, but rather spin on a metal shaft with ceramic coating. Take it apart, might just be something on the shaft.

So I’ve narrowed down to the wetside. When I hand spin the impeller it feels as if it’s grinding. Is this white ceramic washer supposed to spin or is it supposed to be non moving with the impeller magnet spinning on it?

Fixed, non-moving.
I would glue it in place. If it is in warranty they will replace it but they always want the failed unit back, I'd like to have the spare parts.

Have you cleaned the mag and impeller, regreased and reinstalled?
Could be somthing caught between.
I can see markings on the plastic side where something may have been scraping around.
Everything looks ok. Snap a pic of the underside of the mag for us.

The magnet doesn’t look warped or to be popping out of the casing either. Not sure what kind of grease you’d use on the wetside.

It could have been a grain of sand or hard piece of something stuck between the spinning mag and the casing.
Does it still grind cleaned and reassembled?

Hate to say it but you will most likely have to replace the wetside to silent the noise, I have had this problem and have already placed two wetside in the last year.

What size is the ceramic washer to replace does anyone know? I have one without the washer making the noise
