As the title says I bought a used MP40QD and it ran fine for at least a month. I decided to move it a little higher in the tank, about an inch to be exact, and now it only runs 60 seconds then the driver shuts off. The power supply is fine, I checked the wet side and it's fine as well. I decided to pull the dry side apart to inspect the bearings since it's long out of warranty and they all spin great. This is actually the second MP40QD that's done this to me so I'm a little confused as to the fix. Could it be the driver? If it is the driver, why would it suddenly go in to this mode of shutdown? Kind of bummed about it really as a friend convinced me to give these a try and I'm not Ecotech bashing just looking for a solution.
