Does it make sense to upgrade to the qd? Upgrading the driver is supposed to just reduce the noise. I don't know if the wet side makes any difference. So the only way to get the upgrade flow they say you get would be to buy the whole qd. I'm thinking about upgrading the drivers and wet sides but not sure if it's worth it

you cant use the dry side with the new wetside. wont work. only thing you can do is upgrade the driver (which does quiet it down) but doesnt boost flow. Parting the upgrade is not worth it... either quiet it down (new driver only) or buy a whole new one

Having owned both ES and QD, just bite the bullet and buy new ones; they really are that much better. Plus, the old ES still have decent resale value.
