i have a gently used mp40wes, Manufacture date, August 2011, I bought it in December. My tank was supposed to be ready in january, but it wasnt, I didnt get around to getting everything setup till march. So its been running from march till end of June. I never had it up over 50%, and I took it out weekly to clean the powerhead,

Stupid Question , do you have to have a apex or reef lite controller to run these MP's or can you just plug into a receptacle an operate it?not familiar with these

stinger, you can plug it straight into the wall, or whatever you prefer, it has its own controller!

My tank is about 80 gallons, 36x24x22T, that is why I keep debating what I should do for flow. I am thinking 2 MP10's on the back wall, or a single MP40 on the side glass. Decisions Decisions...

I am going to a tank similiar to that. 36 x 24 x 20, and ill be going withh mp10s. Did you get your tank from Great lakes in Michigan?

No, I didn't. I went with Aquatic America, also from MI, just a bit north. (Hemlock, MI) Thanks for the input, I am leaning towards the MP10's now.
