Just checked on the vortec.... Runs pretty warm...:( it's not hot where you can't hold your hand on it but it's warmer than my 40s ever ran.... Running in reef crest mode I can hear the pump again just like the 40s I have... I put it on solid mode and full blast it's dead silent not a sound at all!!!!! That's pretty dang amazing pushing 7500gph at 60watts... Were talking 2 darts here lol.... I will update this thread as I go and get plenty of pics and videos if I can figure out how to upload to YouTube..... Stay tuned!!!!! ;)

Those things are huge...... I feel sorry for the poor fish who passes in front of that pump. LOL.

ya i think im gonna run the sponge prefilters..... my poor little clown sleeps in the back upper right side of tank and if i crank the pump up it pulls right into it....... i dont think i would ever own a nem and one of these things, it would slice, dice, and shred any thing that even comes close to it...... i was playing with it this morning before work and started making waves..."that was a no, no!!!!" i saw a couple good size rocks at least 4 or 5 pounds start to lift up in front of the power head...:( me needs lot's of putty before i can unleash the power of these things..... i think i need a stronger tank to when 2 of these start making waves it's got to be impressive which means it's gonna stress a tank very bad and prolly cause it to fail...:(

Gotta wait till the wife leaves!!!! Every time I look at my tank I get yelled at....:( the other one is still in it's box.... I just spent 2 hours cleaning and packing my 40s to ship to Brent..... I still got welts from the lashing...

I have two 60s on my 300 gallon tank. You'll love them. One thing I noticed about them is the wetside grill doesn't have a solid area like the 40s do to cut down on air being sucked from the surface of the tank. I assume this might cut down too much on the flow rate to do so.

I sold four MP40s and replaced them with the 60s.

Ya I noticed the same thing.... I replaced my 40s with the 60s also...;)
I was playing with the settings earlier and man there just over kill lol!!!!!! My fish are going crazy when i crank it they start swimming weird and my poor clown gets sucked back like 6" when I have it in wave mode.... I guess i will have to aclimate the fish to the strong flow lol....

Ps. Brent my wife says to me and how much did you sell those for 30$????? I just kept quiet and got the thanks for ignoring me...hehehehhehhe if I told her and she knew what I paid for the new ones I would be a dead man!!!!!!! lol.....;)
