So my plan is to have the back panel drilled for an overflow box that i will be making,
draining down into my sump, i will be making the sump as well out of acrylic .

Nice set up! Good luck!! And welcome to R2R!!

I decided to Drill the tank today and this is what happend ! :(
this was my first time drilling glass and i screwd up . now fortunately the only thing that broke was the back panel and it didnt shatter to bits , now i have to figure out how to fix this .

So this is how i fixed the back panel, took some measurements and went to the local taps plastic store and purchased a black acrylic sheet the same size as it would be . 25$ fix not bad .

I drilled 3 holes , Two 1'' and one 1/2'' for the return . One of the 1'' in the center of the panel is for water changes . The top will be for the overflow box i will be makeing out of the same material .
Drilling the acrylic sheet was soo much easier and safe then Glass . The only thing i had to worry about is chipping the inside of the sheet but all went well and im happy with the end results !

Ouch, sorry to hear about the breakage. Are you trying to silicone the acrylic to the glass? If so, acrylic > silicone > glass will not hold.

Here are some black acrylic sheets cut to size for the overflow box , The dimensions are 5 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 2" inside the box and i also picked up the supplies to cement the together . this will be interesting .

Her im cementing the overflow box to the back acrylic panel.

I took some time working on the fake canopy , drilling out some 2'' holes on the corners where the ai sol will sit and used the jigsaw to make a straight cuts came out looking clean. The ai sol blue looks super nice i have them at 100 % and dang it lights up the whole room !

If the water is being returned to the tank via the bottom fitting i see then you need to make sure you have a check valve and a ball valve higher up to prevent the tank fro emptying should your ump fail. The ball valve is needed between the tank and the check valve so you can clean the check valve on a regular basis as they get slimed up and something may get stuck in it preventing it from stopping water flowing out of the tank.

Looks nice work.

Hey there albert thanks for the advice ! The 1'' bulkhead underneath the overflow box that has a strainer is actually for waterchanges i will be adding a staight barb fitting at the end of the pvc with a shut off valve. when i do a water changes all i have to do is turn the valve open . This will iliminate me creating a syphon by mouth on one end of the hose .

This is the back plumbing of the tank , right side is the 1/2'' return , Center up is the overflow , Center bottom is for water changes, i wish i would have had time to overthink the position of the center holes ! And i wouldnt have had to add a street 90 over ! next time i will off set it . Oh well at least i made it work . I painted the pvc black to match pretty much everything i think it looks cool .
