Anybody use this in their tank? I tried it for the first time today and it did wonders. It pulled off even hard stuff that I usually have to use a razor on. My glass is already too thick for the bigger MagFloat, so even cutting in in half length ways wasn't thin enough to use in between the magnets so I might have to get a stronger one to use like that.

After one use, I'm sold :)

Nope, not the original version. Others have Febreeze and stuff in it, the original is just like a sponge-ish material.

I have used it on my acrylic tanks for years. You just have to make sure its the original product. It does an amazing job in my tanks. I use it under my stronger mighty magnet or Magnavore and that keeps them in place.

Don't the pieces of sponge fall into the tank though?

Nope, its a very dense sponge, not a paper towel :) Doesn't fall apart at all and it cleans awesome. I was cleaning my Vortechs inside the tank with the sponge and got a bunch of gray to show, haha. Its also great for hard to clean corners around silicone.

I'll have to give it a try. Sounds great.

If you have a Sam's club near you, they have a box of 10 for $8. Great deal! Just make sure they are the original unscented type.

Make sure to get the original, and not the bath and tub ones, as they apparently contain chemicals. This is what you want:

I won't use anything else on my brand new acrylic tank. It works amazing. Like others have said The original one is the only ones to use due to no chemicals. I use it and then place them in a plastic baggie untill the next cleaning

Been cutting strips for my magnet cleaner on my 240 acrylic and couldn't be happier.

Has anyone had a outbreak of a whitish hair algae grow in their tanks after using these pads? I've got a friend that is trying to pinpoint the problem he is having. The algae is really tough and doesn't pull off. It covered just about everything in the tank, algae blenny couldn't touch it. He was able to beat it once and now it's coming back shortly after using the pads. Any thoughts would help.
Tank from what I understand has no phosphates and aside from this one outbreak has no other issues. we use ro/di and red sea coral pro salt. bi-weekly water changes and also runs a skimmer. I don't have his parameters on hand or I would leave them. Every time we check them them they are spot on.
