I've seen a few posts on here of people using the Mr. clean sponge do you use it inside the tank also

I only use it inside the tank. Cut it about 1/4" in width and place it between you magnetic cleaner. 1/4" is the thickness I use for 3/4" acrylic. Your thickness may vary. I use it once and discard due to the possibility of catching sand and scratching my acrylic. I use a soft rag on the front side. Also make sure it's the original sponge and not one with bleach or anything else.

Ok thank you was going to use it inside but was wondering if there was any cleaner on those sponges that would hurt my tank

No. In time, if you kept scrubbing it would wear through the surfaces, but it won't cut through regular coralline.

They work inside and out! Coralline...not so much!

I bought a box of 200! I love them but they wear out fast... Good for cleaning white surfaces and shoes too! Don't forget it is technically an abrasive

Wow! Who knew! Great question and great answers thanks! If the eraser does not clean coralline from surfaces does anyone have suggestions to get it off my plastic cover? Thanks for any guidance!

I had no idea you could use them in the tank! This is exciting. (I have a boring life, what can I say. haha) One more reason to love Magic Erasers.

+1

Make sure you only use the regular one - no bleach. I know it sound obvious, but I don't want anyone to create a bigger problem in their tanks than cleaning the glass.

PS - I use them on my glass aquariums too. I never had an issue (except my wife asking me what happened to all her magic erasers)
