MRC skimmers

Most large skimmers like that such as the MRC, Bashsea and Aquarium engineering are all very good strong skimmers using the reef flo pumps. They are power hungry though but in my book that’s a small price to pay. Only other skimmer I’d look at would be a bubble king which is a very high quality skimmer as well.
I’m using an MRC MR-6R Recirculating Protein Skimmer it’s been running great for 12 years, for recirculation I’m using a Reeflo Hammerhead pump, the pump does draw a ton of power but that’s expected for the amount of water movement from it. I would buy another MRC without question if and when I needed.
