mrc vs life reef

I'm looking at purchasing an mrc beckett skimmer or a life reef venturi skimmer. I'm having trouble deciding. the mrc would be an mr4 and life reef would be the 60 inch venturi model.

I have an old MRC-1 purchased new about 12-14 years ago for a 65 gallon tank. 3 years ago I replaced it with a Lifereef 24 when increased to a 150. The Lifereef is quieter, easier to clean and adjust, but remember my MRC is pretty old and I am sure many improvements have been made. I keep the MRC as a backup.

Never had a mtc. But I love my lifereef.
