how do you use it
do i just added it to my top off water?
i lose about 1 gallon a day i add it all at once
do you have to slow drop it in?

I take a 5 gallon bucket of fresh RO/DI and put in like 6 tsp of MWPL and swirl it around a few times with my tongs. Then I let it sit for a while and let it settle. I have a 1 gallon bucket that I drilled and put an airline valve in the bottom. I fill the bucket and then place it over the sump and let it drip about 1 drop per second.

so it has to be dripped in ? cant just add it it my top offwater a pour it in

You don't really wanna add it all at once as you will get a ph spike. Best to use it with an auto top off, although you could manually pour it in if you had to. If that is the plan, then I would break up dosing the whole gallon between 2-3 topoffs to be more consistent.

I dose my kalk throughout the entire day. My controller turns my dosing pump on for 20 seconds every 9 minutes or something, so I always have a steady input of calcium going in. This also keeps my pH and kH very steady throughout the day. I also keeps my level in the sump at a consistent level as well.

No you can't just dump it in. I am pretty sure if you do that you would actually be achieving the opposite of what you wish to do. I hope somebody corrects me if I am wrong but if you add the Kalk too fast it will actually bond with your cal and alk in your tank and precipitate out causing a drop in these params. Also as stated before you will have a ph spike as kalk water is very high in ph.

Exactly correct skinz, it needs to be slowly dripped in. Additionally, you need to drip the water above the power, and try not to get the actual powder in the tank. You want the water that has been saturated from the powder in the tank, but not the powder itself.

if you have a auto topp off system set up add it to your top off water, that way it will drip in when your auto topp of is on, you dont want to much going in at one time. kalk is good in small doses at a time. oh yeah when you mix it let it sit for awhile and you will see a inch or so on white stuff on the bottom of the container, dont let this get into your tank this stuff is undisolved solids from the mix and you dont want these impuritues in your tank
