MsCoskers Wrasse

I got one about a week ago and have not seen him. I tore my tank apart and rearranged to try and find him and found him alive so I know he is in there. How long will he stay hidding as I have not seen him out to feed yet?

Wrasses usually hide for a week or two when getting acclimated to a new tank. Don't worry, it'll come slowly but surely.

The one I had was always a little skittish. I think mine hid for about 10 days before It started to venture out. For the first month it would hide as soon as it saw me. Eventually it felt safe and was out all the time. Unfortunatley he got to big for the little tank he was in so I found him a better home.

both of mine must be gangstas then! I introduced them a few weeks apart and niether one hid, and actually both were eating the same day! (whip fin flasher and coris wrasse) maybe I got lucky..... :xd:

I had to break down a 29g. I took everything out down to 1" of water. After I took out a few scoops of sand, it finally popped out of the sand.

are there any fish in there that may be aggressive towards it? I found the flasher wrasse to be more timid and have even had one die from being bullied into hiding/death

2 true perculas, atlantic blue tang, 3 green chromis, 6 line wrasse.

When I did see him nobody messed with him but that does not mean anything. The tank is rearranged and I held the 6 line out for a day prior to putting him back just to make sure he did not even think to mess with anybody.

That sixline is a sure problem with a flasher. It's going to keep forcing your flasher into hiding, and a flasher won't suvive this type of stress.

Pseudocheilinus wrasses are not compatible with other wrasses; you must make a choice or nature will do it for you.

evolved is part wrasse, and is correct. if it were me, the sixline would be gone. A mccoskers is much better in a community tank.
