MTRC 2012 Membership Dues

Well its that time of year again. As of Jan 1, 2012 the annual MTRC Membership dues are again due. Paypal is the easiest way to pay. You can send payments to [email protected] via paypal or PM me for my address if you want to send a check.

There are a couple people that have a credit from last year. If you are one, please PM me also.

Just a reminder that inorder to get door prizes and discounts from our vendors you have to be a Current Member

I will send you a new sticker for your current card with a 2012 on it

What are the advantages of being a member and how much are the dues?

The advantage of part of the coolest group of reefers in the hobby.
Also you get 10% off at our LFS. Get to use club equipment like par meter, hanna checkers alk and po4, fish trap and so on.
Also I give away corals to members only at meeting. Or if your new and want to try something like sps. Most of us will donate a frag so you don't waste your money if dies.
But most important is the group of people you'll become friends with.
I'm sure there more I missed that someone can chime in.

Also some member have found jobs with other members. Thats a plus these days also.

Oh yeah it's $20 for a full year. And you'll get that back just a trip to your LFS.

OK people, just an FYI. Next months meeting is the meeting where we start the 2012 BOD elections process. If you want to participate you have to be a PAID member. We only have about 15 people paid so far as of today. I am also going to start to remove people from the private forum if you are not a paid member in the next few days. Lets see some club spirit!!!!! Also club meeting awards are for only PAID members as well..... So if you want in on that you have to be a member!!

Rick, Please confirm you received payment from Leah and I via Paypal last night. Also, FYI gifting with Paypal still has a fee attached. If it is a new MTRC Paypal account and it is not verified, that may be why.

Yes recieved payment, but it was only $25.00. Family memberships are $30. And no fees are taken out from paypal if it is a gift, have had many pay that way. This is not a new account, same as before, just new email addy.

I paid the membership and fee using my debit card on file so the club didn't get shortchanged, but it was there for me. Didn't used to be either..my account is over 10 years old.

I sending another 5 over.

Edit:

Paypal made a slight variation to their policy. No fee is from your checking account, a fee is charged now if you use debit...used to be only credit card.

Not a big deal at all, just figured it would be nice for folks to know how to avoid the fee. Policy is below.
