Hello. I am thinking of incorporating a remote deep sand bed for my new tank. I happen to live on the Bogue sound of NC, (salty water). I can easily collect some of that real deal mud that's full and life, and smells (bad ones). I was wondering if that would be more beneficial than just using sand?

I just paid a boat load to have mud shipped to CO. Absolutely I would bury some under your sand bed.

I have 2 in. of mud in my fuge topped off with 1 in. of sand the 2 mangroves I have planted in there are loving it.

Ii collect it from here. But if it smells like hydrogen sulfide, don't use it.
