Mulm in sump

Is the accumulation of "mulm" in the sump something to be concerned about, i.e., regularly cleaned out? Mixed reef doing well. Nitrate= 7.1, phosphate = .20.

I have limited knowledge of sump mulm, but @VintageReefer might be able to offer some advice
 
It can be a source of nutrients, but it also can provide forms of natural filtration
