i like both i guess ill just have to go through a couple combos and decide what i like the best...

is the aquablue plus a white light?

ok i think im going to try

aquablue+
pro color
and 4 ati blue+

the par should be fine for acros right?

i think that would be a great combo
and what bayreefer said, im also curious about your RO water

I get my water fro mthe lfs they make it there and buy it

whic watt should i get?

24,39,54,80.....or will only certain ones fit into a 3 ft fixture

also you should invest in a RO unit so you can personally monitor the tds. you never know if they a slacking off on changing the cartridges and membrane when needed

ok thanks it gna cost me around 135 plus shipping...man:sad: but atleast my chalice collection will look nice and glowy

and once my nicer chalices are big enough ill frag them and sell them so maybe i can afford this expensive equipment i need

Thanks for all the help, ill order lights soon and see how things go

ask your lfs to check their tds in front of you
best if it is 0, 5 is ok, 10 is pushing it, above that i would not use it.
and you can throw a poly filter in your sump which would help to remove any metals or organics that may contribute to your algae problems

ok thanks ill try that to..i think im going to the lfs 2mrw

I might have foudn out why the algae randomly started growing!

Does ph level effect algae growth?

If so i was testing my tanks tonight...the ones i have recently cleaned........75 gal,66gal,and 12 gal

And the 75's ph was 6.5!!!! Urchin was dead few corals not looking so hot

66 was 7.3
and same for 12

tested water i just got from the lfs and ph was 6.5......so when i cleaned i followed my normal buffer steps thinking the lfs's ph level was the same..but it wasnt
so if ph being low makes algae grow then that is my answer for why it started

still want new lights......

also you should invest in a RO unit so you can personally monitor the tds. you never know if they a slacking off on changing the cartridges and membrane when needed
Exactly why I asked condor, I bought 20g's of RODI from a LFS a few months ago and got home and stuck my TDS meter in and it read at over 70 so I went and got my own RODI unit;) LFS's have a ton of things going on and unfortunately them changing out filters on their water purifiers is not at the top of their list of things to get done:(

ok ill try to look into one.....does ph have anything to do with algae growth or is that just a whole other problem?

yay..ive never had this many issues before with my tanks

i just remember i do own an rodi unit but i just dont have anywhere to set it up. . .. . .

and ca is 420

dkh not sure

dkh maintains ph so if you test for it say with a salifert test, and dose with alkalinity like esv and maintain your dkh your ph will not dip like that

oooo...

I guess ill still have to try the bulb replacement and magnesium for the bryopsis. . . .
