Always fancied a Multibar Angelfish and when I saw one that had been in my LFS for around 4 weeks I decided to take the plunge. However not before I had observed it for about 20mins and one of the guys fed it for me. Not the easiest of fish to keep and you need to get one in VGC with no signs of any of the usual issues you can find with difficult fish. It settled in surprisingly well and only got a bit of chasing from my Regal Angelfish but was out and about in no time and eating almost immediately
I finally got a half decent pic of my latest acquisition bought on Thursday afternoon of my Multibar which is never the easiest fish to get pic of a esp with the delay on your phone.

Awesome fish. I've had a few over the years. I got them from the lfs eating already. They did fine for awhile. Then developed some sort of bacterial infection I believe it was. White cotton like substances all over. I had 3 and 1 by 1 they perished. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did. Always liked multibars and read it was best to keep in 3's

Beautiful fish!

I had one some while ago, and acclimated it along with a flame angel. About three or four weeks into QT, they both came down with something that ... wasn't ich or velvet, but had the look of tiny white flakes or bits of fluff. Not lympho, either, as it was too regularly spaced across their bodies.

I loved the way that fish looked, but even more, the bright, sprightly way it moved. Hope yours thrives for you!

Congratulations.....getting him to eat is half the battle. I also had one but didn't have much luck keeping him....eventually just wasted away. He appeared to be eating so I am not sure what the issue was. They are definitely one of the more difficult angels to keep.

Thanks, so far it's doing very well indeed so fingers crossed.
