Took some pics of my multi color Gigantea last night. Oranges/reds having really been pulling through lately with the new bulb setup. It’s amazing how the colors blend on the outer band of tentacles.

I really love the look of these anemones.
They are IMO, the best looking anemones out there. Pics don’t do them justice the movement of all the tentacles is awesome to see.

Very cool! What lights are you running?
6 bulb ATI fixture with 4 blue plus and 2 6500 bulbs. Looking to add some blue XHOs for that extra pop in the near future

that's fantastic ...I remember back in the 90's people were saying that gigs and mags wouldn't do well under T5's ...

It's a beautiful piece. I guess there's one reason someone would dump 4k on a camera set.
I actually have a great DSLR setup, but my favorite 100mm macro lens took a drop to the floor and I haven't been able to motivate myself to spend $1300 for a replacement.

Even if the lens doesn't die, they sure can break. That sucks :(

These two battle it out everyday for the upper spot closest to the light. Seems they alternate one day the blue is up high next day the multi color. I think it’s a cool look, but I really wish they’d separate from the same rock and give each other some space. I think a dedicated nem tank is on the horizon.

OMG, I need to stop looking at this thread. I want one! But I don't even know how to begin ;Dead
They need medicine and quarantine and strong lights. I don't have the lights I am sure of that.

Wonderful!
Strong lighting/flow is a definite. Medicine/QT can be avoided though if you purchase one that's been treated. I did not treat either of these anemones. The multi color came from Galactic Coral, I'm not sure if they treated first or not. It was the only anemone going in my tank at the time and looked healthy so I didn't worry about treating. The blue one I got from Blue Kai Aquatics and that one I know was treated before I purchased. The pre treated ones can get expensive, but imo not a bad price for something that can out live you and also one of the more elusive species in the hobby.

These are so pretty and get so huge! My lfs gets them in and they look so sick. They look like they are turned inside out.

If I ever plan to get one, I will check these guys out. Keep up the good work. I love the photos!

I'll second blue kai as a great vendor. I've also heard great things about Galactic Coral but haven't had the opportunity to use them.

To stay on topic, those gigs are amazing! keep up the great husbandry and thanks for sharing the pics with everyone!
