Like many, I am looking to have some of my livestock work for a living. In this case algae control.

Would like to keep multiple tangs including both a Tomini and a 2 spot. Both from the Ctenochaetus family.

I understand that all fish have unique personalities but in general can this be done?

It’s hard to say due to not knowing what the tank is like in terms of rockscape & territory. An FTS from side on as well as front on will help with an idea of swim room.

Also, I know this is being picky however I just wanted to say that ‘Ctenochaetus’ isn’t the family, it’s the genus. All tangs are in the same family however they’re separated by genera and some species that are extremely close in relation are put into complexes. For example, Powder Blue, Powder Brown, the Goldrim and Achilles are all in one complex - ‘The Powder Tangs’.

Thank you. I couldn't think of the word genus but that is exactly what I had meant.

Tank will not be set up for 2 more months and then probably 3 more before larger fish go in. Planned aquascaping in a 72x24x24:

Max height of the rock on right is 12", left side 9". Leaves a minimum 10" above and infrint for swimming space and coral growth. Absolutely willing to alter the scape for health of inhabitants.
