I have a 125g, 6ft long.
Now, I know LFS are normally all about making money rather than the customers best interest. I asked them about having 2 pairs in our tank, as theres 4 'designs' of Ocellaris that I'd like to have. Currently, my 2 clowns chill at opposite ends of the tank from each other.
I've heard conflicting information where people have had 20 clowns in one tank, while others say to not have more than 2 clowns in a tank - due to risk of injury or death. Any advice is appreciated! Especially from those who have had multiple in a tank!

Thank you!

Most likely situation is thunderdome. I know @vetteguy53081 runs multiple. Maybe he has some tips.
Edit: not sure how I messed up message

I find it best to start with a small group (6-8) young ones, the first 6 months I lost one due to aggression and then they have all panned out, in fact ive added a snowflake and onxy with no issue since then

Hi I'm also interested in having multiple clowns in my 50 gallon. I was wondering if you knew if having multiple species would be a problem? I'm specifically interested in a clown only tank with 3-5ocellaris, 3-5skunk, and 3-5 cinnamon or two-stripe (haven't decided). Was hoping you might have experience that could inform my decision

I’m currently keeping 6 ocellaris, 4 spotcinctus and 2 lightings together. They were all added at the same time, bought from breeders and all babies. They have been together about 3 months now and all seems well. I also keep several different species of nems for good habitat. 1 xlarge Mag, 3 sm-med gigs and a few BTAs. So I think it can work but my advice is be prepared to make changes if it doesn’t.

If possible place them in at the same time OR place most and the most known aggressive Last
