Multiple clowns in same tank

If you try this make sure you have a Plan B. This could be as simple as having a tight fitting egg crate divider to separate the clowns into separate halves of the tank. I would make sure the initial introduction was with some type of separator.

And by the way, my own Fire Clown has managed to hit me so hard when attacking my hand that he jumped clear out of the tank into a basket. I would potentially expect similar intensity from a clown defending its digs against an intruder clown. (So make sure that divider really will separate them).

Woahhhhh! You buried the lead.....a 2' tank will bring out the worst aggression in just about any fish. (I guess you did describe the model, I just wasn't familiar with it).

I hate to say this but I took in two skunks who needed a home. Prob 2 inches each more or less. Small to me.. Maybe or maybe not a pair yet. It was either go home with me or perish due to a tank crisis. I am normally against mixing a lot of clowns because it rarely ends well over time. I learned the hard way over the years. But I can't stand seeing fish die when I can assist. Two clowns in a tank make the most sense. Mix two? Make sure the other is bigger. Mixed pairs are not unheard of at all. You can even buy mixed pairs from a specialist.
Anyway I have a 70 gallon with 3 haddoni, 2 gigs, a dozen or so bta. A whole lots of anemones. Anemones galore. Some coral but not much. Softball size acro, a couple smaller acro, a nice sized plating monti, monti setosa, and acan on the sand.
Existing fish was a percula I had since a baby which is now 2 1/2-3 inches and a 4 1/2-5 inch Clark I have had for quite a while. Those two get along fine. Often next to each other parked in the gig side of the tank with two haddoni. The perc is shy. The clark is a cruiser often rambling around the tank. No other fish. I was fine with just those two for a long time. The measurements are estimates. But all relative to each other. The skunks are obviously smaller.
Ugh. Added the two skunks and they are little azzes. During the day one is on one side of the tank in the gigs and the other hogs bta banishment island on the opposite side. My clark has no fear and still cruises around like a bus. Get out of my way. Totally ignores the skunks silly threats. But perc hangs by the power head on one side. He gets light harassment during the day and kicked out of the gig until lights off. Thankfully due to my flow it is a primo feeding spot for the perc. When the lights go off the skunks go to bta Island and stay there. Clark and perc head back to their gigs. Been like this for 4 months now. Not sure I care for the situation honestly. I may have to give the skunks to the fish store but I have to admit I want to see how it works out. Both the clark and perc are bigger. I am waiting for for perc to get ticked off and be more assertive. Probably learned it never works with the clark but may learn it works with the skunks and push them over to bta Island.
Sigh. Catching those skunks one day will suck. And that is probably the moral of the story.

Yeah, I learned with my 125g tank that this is the worst....having to remove every single rock, or more than likely 1/3 to a 1/2 of the tank's total rock. If you have enough space in the middle somewhere that you can insert an egg crate divider and keep the target fish on one side only, you can then remove just the rock on that side. Still no bueno.
